Borrowing Instructions

When borrowing materials, you may first use the Library Catalog Search System to check availability. If the item is found, use the “Call Number” to locate it and bring your faculty/staff ID to the library’s first floor to complete the borrowing process. The number of items allowed, loan period, and maximum renewals are listed below:

Number of items allowed Loan period Maximum renewals
60 items 42 days 4 times

Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are also counted within the loan period.

** Renewal: If the loan period has expired and no one else has reserved the item, you may renew up to four times starting five days before the due date.
** Reservation: If a book has already been borrowed, you may reserve it online through the system.
** If borrowed items are overdue, a fine of NT$5 per item per day will be imposed, and borrowing privileges will be suspended from the overdue date until the items are returned and fines are paid.

For other related regulations, please refer to the Library Rules.

Return Box

To facilitate returns after library hours, a return box has been set up for readers to deposit books. Large books and accompanying media (such as CDs) that cannot fit in the return box should not be deposited. Any damage or loss is the borrower’s responsibility. The actual number of returned items and the return time will be confirmed by the library upon receipt. Readers are advised to check their personal borrowing records in the system within two days after returning items to ensure the items have been removed from their account. If not, please contact the library counter promptly to protect your rights.

Book Recommendation

If you need materials for teaching or research that the library does not yet have, you are welcome to recommend purchases. Providing complete and accurate bibliographic information will help expedite the acquisition process. For details on how to recommend materials, please refer to the Instructions.

If there is any discrepancy between the above information and the revised management regulations, the latest library management regulations shall prevail.
