Borrowing Rules

Undergraduate Students:

Maximum Number of Print Books Loan Period Maximum Number of Renewals
40 volumes 21 days 4 times

Graduate Students / Full-time Faculty and Staff:

Maximum Number of Print Books Loan Period Maximum Number of Renewals
60 volumes 42 days 4 times

  1. Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays are included in the loan period. If the due date falls on a holiday, it will be extended to the next day the library is open.
  2. Renewals: If there are no reservations by other users, renewals may be processed starting five days before the due date.
  3. Reservations: Reservations can be made by logging in to the library borrowing system via the library website.
  4. Overdue fines: A fine of NT$5 per book per day will be charged. Borrowing privileges will be suspended from the first day of overdue status and will not be reinstated until all borrowed materials are returned and all overdue fines and damage compensation fees are fully paid. Before completing school withdrawal, resignation, or library card cancellation procedures, readers must return all borrowed books and settle any overdue fines and compensation matters at the library circulation desk.

※ Number of books × Number of overdue days × NT$5 = Total fine amount
Example: Student Tseng Ai-Chien has 10 books overdue for 8 days.
10 (books) × 8 (days) × 5 = 400
Therefore, a fine of NT$400 must be paid in order to restore borrowing privileges.
